Saw Operator Location: Kidderminster Pay: £14.50 per hour, increasing to £15.22 per hour once fully trained Shifts: 6:00am–2:00pm / 11:00am–7:00pm Job Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role We are currently recruiting for 2 Saw Operators to join a growing manufacturing team in Kidderminster. The role involves operating industrial saws to cut stainless steel long products to specific lengths and quantities. You'll be joining an established team with further investment in new machinery, creating an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a growing operation. Key Responsibilities * Loading and operating saws with stainless steel long products * Programming machines to cut specific lengths and quantities * Packing finished pieces onto pallets * Shrink wrapping and preparing products for dispatch * Marking and labelling materials accurately * Moving pallets using a forklift * Cleaning and maintaining machinery and the working area * Following health & safety and production procedures * Working as part of a team to meet production requirements About You * Previous experience operating saws or machinery is desirable * Experience working with steel or stainless steel would be an advantage * Valid forklift licence required * Counterbalance forklift experience essential * Side-loader experience desirable, although in-house training/upskilling can be provided * Good attention to detail * Reliable, practical and safety-conscious * Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment * Willing to learn and develop within the role What's on Offer * £14.50 per hour, rising to £15.22 once trained * Rotating shift pattern: 6am–2pm / 11am–7pm * 20 days' holiday + bank holidays + Christmas shutdown * Staff rooms provided * Forklift training/upskilling available * Long-term permanent opportunity * Join a growing team with significant investment in new machinery
