The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Supervisor to join a well-established heavy manufacturing business within its Machine Shop department. This is a hands-on supervisory role where you will be responsible for leading a team, ensuring production targets are achieved, maintaining high safety standards, and supporting the efficient operation of machinery and equipment across the shop floor. This position would suit an individual with previous supervisory experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment who is confident leading by example and has a strong understanding of machine operation and fault finding.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities within the Machine Shop.
- Lead and motivate production teams to achieve safety, quality, and productivity targets.
- Monitor workflow and allocate resources effectively to meet production schedules.
- Carry out basic fault finding and troubleshooting on machinery to minimise downtime.
- Support machine operators and provide technical guidance where required.
