We are seeking an experienced Plate and Bar Saw Operator to join a busy manufacturing environment in Birmingham. This full-time, on-site role involves operating machinery to process and fabricate specialty metals in line with specifications and production requirements.
Daily responsibilities include:
- Operating Friggi Plate Saws and Kasto Bar Saws
- Processing specialty metals to specification
- Conducting quality inspections and measurements
- Performing routine machine maintenance
- Using hand tools and measuring equipment accurately
- Following workplace health and safety procedures
- Working collaboratively with supervisors and team members
Qualifications & Skills:
- Essential: Experience operating Friggi Plate Saws and Kasto Bar Saws
- Strong understanding of quality control procedures
- Competence using measuring equipment and hand tools
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety standards
- Previous experience in manufacturing or a related field (desirable)
- Technical training or certification (desirable)
- Forklift training (desirable but not essential)
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 08:00am – 04:00pm
- 30-minute unpaid lunch break
