We are seeking an experienced Plate and Bar Saw Operator to join a busy manufacturing environment in Birmingham. This full-time, on-site role involves operating machinery to process and fabricate specialty metals in line with specifications and production requirements.

Daily responsibilities include:

  • Operating Friggi Plate Saws and Kasto Bar Saws
  • Processing specialty metals to specification
  • Conducting quality inspections and measurements
  • Performing routine machine maintenance
  • Using hand tools and measuring equipment accurately
  • Following workplace health and safety procedures
  • Working collaboratively with supervisors and team members

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Essential: Experience operating Friggi Plate Saws and Kasto Bar Saws
  • Strong understanding of quality control procedures
  • Competence using measuring equipment and hand tools
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety standards
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or a related field (desirable)
  • Technical training or certification (desirable)
  • Forklift training (desirable but not essential)

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 08:00am – 04:00pm
  • 30-minute unpaid lunch break
