Salary: £45,000 – £50,000+ (flexible for the right candidate)
Hours: Monday to Friday. Typical working hours are 6:00am – 2:00pm, with flexibility to work alternative shift patterns including 7:00am – 4:00pm or 8:00am – 5:00pm. Overtime is also available.
Overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a leading industrial and processing environment based in Leeds. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of all electrical and mechanical systems across site, including cranes and steel processing machinery. This position would suit a proactive engineer with strong fault-finding skills and experience within a heavy industrial or manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment
- Maintain and repair:
- Overhead cranes
- Conveyors
- Cutting, shearing, and processing machinery
- HVAC systems, compressors, and general site services
Skills & Experience
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding abilities
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team
- Experience using CMMS systems would be advantageous
- Previous experience within manufacturing, engineering, or heavy industrial environments preferred
