Purpose of the Position

The Production Operative is responsible for setting up and operating machines within the Fabrication Department, ensuring high-quality production of parts while maintaining accurate factory management system records.

Scope of Role

You will assist the Fabrication Supervisor in day-to-day operations, focusing on safety, production, quality, and cost efficiency. Your role is key to producing high-quality products and supporting continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set machines and control fabrication cycles to achieve production targets and quality standards.
  • Adjust machine settings as required to maintain output quality and efficiency.
  • Follow all safe working practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Identify non-conformance and contribute to corrective measures.
  • Participate in basic preventative maintenance to maximize machine availability.
