We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development / Key Account Manager to grow existing customer accounts while actively developing new business. This role suits a proactive sales professional with experience in a metal stockholding environment who enjoys identifying opportunities, building relationships, and driving revenue growth. Office based role. 08:30AM - 17:00PM
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of key customer accounts, maintaining strong relationships through regular contact.
- Achieve agreed gross profit targets across existing accounts, new business, and wider sales activity.
- Proactively generate new opportunities through targeted cold calling and customer visits.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, implementing strategies to achieve success.
- Handle incoming enquiries and source third-party stock where required.
- Provide regular feedback on sales performance, market conditions, and customer trends.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the full product range and competitor activity.
- Develop a thorough understanding of customer requirements, both commercially and technically.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' B2B sales experience within the metal stockholding industry (experience with copper and/or nickel-based alloys preferred).
- Proven experience managing key customer accounts.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.

- Demonstrable track record of developing new business.
