About the Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a Technical Sales Estimator to join a growing and successful team. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded sales professional who enjoys building relationships, solving customer challenges, and driving business growth.
Working closely with the Technical Sales Manager and wider leadership team, you will be responsible for managing customer enquiries, preparing accurate quotations, supporting technical queries, and developing new sales opportunities. This role would suit someone with a strong commercial mindset, excellent communication skills, and an interest in technical products, construction, engineering, or safety-related solutions.
The Role
As a Technical Sales Estimator, you will be the first point of contact for customer enquiries and will play a key role in supporting customers from initial enquiry through to successful order completion. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing incoming sales enquiries and preparing accurate, compliant quotations
- Developing leads and identifying opportunities to increase sales
- Providing technical guidance and support to customers where required
- Building strong relationships with new and existing customers
- Understanding customer requirements and recommending suitable solutions
- Working closely with internal teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully
- Maintaining accurate records using CRM systems and internal databases
- Supporting sales targets through proactive communication and follow-up
- Reviewing market and competitor information to support business development
- Carrying out occasional customer site visits and surveys across the UK as required
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual who enjoys working with customers and has the confidence to develop opportunities and close sales. You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in technical sales, estimating, customer solutions, or a related field
- A proven background in sales, quotations, and managing customer enquiries
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills

- The ability to negotiate, problem solve, and manage customer expectations
- A proactive approach with the motivation to achieve targets
- Confidence working independently while also contributing as part of a team

- Construction, engineering, manufacturing, or technical products
- Safety solutions or work-at-height environments
