We are a well-established and growing business specialising in premium architectural solutions, with a strong reputation for innovation, quality, and precision engineering. We’re currently seeking a driven and detail-oriented CAD Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of bespoke metal products.
Your Role
Reporting to the Technical Manager, you’ll play a vital role in designing and engineering custom built metal products. Using industry-standard software, you’ll develop detailed technical drawings and collaborate closely with production teams to ensure seamless fabrication and installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor
- Design and modify railing systems to suit architectural and site-specific requirements
- Evaluate and optimise designs for functionality, compliance, and cost-effectiveness
- Create comprehensive manufacturing drawings and BOMs for fabrication
- Liaise with production teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and practical
- Assist in the selection of materials for strength, durability, and visual impact
- Engage in hands-on prototyping and problem-solving on the shop floor
- Ensure all designs adhere to relevant industry standards and regulations
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor (essential)
- Able to interpret architectural drawings and convert them into production-ready designs
- Detail-focused with good communication and problem-solving skills
- Practical and collaborative approach to working with internal teams and suppliers
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm, 40 hours per week
- Includes a 30-minute daily paid lunch break
- Based on-site in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire
Salary & Benefits
- £28,000 – £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
