We are working with a national distribution group who specialise in the distribution of engineering consumables. Their product range is diverse and ranges from specialised fasteners through to PPE supplies, making them a one stop shop for engineering and manufacturing businesses.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and driven sales professional to join an ever-expanding group with 29 sites and 20,000+ customers. Your role as Area Sales Manager will be key for the future growth of the Midlands region. The company is offering a full training and development plan for the successful candidate and opportunities to progress within the wider group.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the assigned area
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to promote new products and services
  • Active participation with promotions and campaigns
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows and networking opportunities
  • Engaging key suppliers for increased opportunity
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers and stakeholders
  • Address customer concerns and ensure satisfaction to promote repeat business and referrals
  • Develop and implement customer retention strategies
  • Manage and maintain a robust sales pipeline to ensure a consistent flow of business opportunities
  • Monitor the sales process from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring timely follow-up and effective negotiation
