As Head of Sales (Aerospace), your primary task will be to identify and approach new customers within the Aerospace, Nuclear and Defence Sectors. You will build and maintain strong customer relationships by meeting their needs through regular telephone and email communication. In addition, you will visit existing customers to ensure effective follow-up and maintain cooperation.
The main functions of the role are divided into the following areas:
- Responsible for sales of stainless steel and high performance alloys within the UK market.
- Research and understand the market.
- Develop a sales strategy for the designated district.
- Prepare budgets for your customer portfolio and monitor deviations in purchasing behaviour.
- Maintain and develop your customer portfolio.
- Monitor and adjust your sales strategy.
Day-to-day tasks include:
- Identify new business opportunities including new markets, new clients and new products and services.
- Process requests, create offers and follow up.
- Conduct market analysis to better understand market dynamics, competition, customer preferences and trends.
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.
- Attend exhibitions and events to help promote the business.
- Process a strong understanding of the company’s products and the competition in the market place.

You should be motivated by being responsible for your own market. Experience or interest in technical fields, especially within the steel industry, is an advantage. Experience from construction, energy and heavy industry, marine and other industries is also relevant.
