Westcon Comstor is accelerating its use of AI and advanced analytics to drive value across the business. The AI Lead, Operate is a senior, high-visibility role responsible for operationalizing AI across the organization—maximizing adoption, ensuring compliant use, and driving measurable return on AI investments. This leader will own the Operate workstream within the Analytics & AI team, partnering closely with the "Generate" and "Integrate" workstreams and with business stakeholders globally. They will champion AI-enabled transformation, lead organizational change efforts, and ensure AI capabilities are embedded into daily processes, behaviours, and decisions.
A key focus of this role is ensuring AI solutions are delivered as real operational capability, using UiPath as a backbone orchestration layer to coordinate workflow execution, human-in-the-loop decision points, and enterprise system actions—supported by a governed data foundation in Snowflake and enterprise AI capabilities across Azure AI. This will be a hybrid role, aligned to local UK work from office policies. The individual can be located near any of our UK offices, although preferably Bracknell or London where other D&A colleagues are located.
Key Responsibilities
- AI Adoption & ROI: Drive organization-wide adoption of AI solutions to maximize ROI on AI initiatives. Monitor, measure, and communicate business value and performance of AI tools and workflows. Identify adoption risks early and implement mitigation and enablement strategies to sustain usage beyond launch.
- Operationalization & Change Management: Build and execute the operating model for AI deployment, adoption, and lifecycle management, including feedback loops into AI product and devops teams. Lead change management approaches, including stakeholder engagement, training, communications, readiness planning, and user enablement at scale. Translate complex AI/ML, automation, and orchestration concepts into simple, practical experiences for end users.
- Orchestration Backbone (UiPath + Enterprise AI Execution): Own the "Operate" execution layer for AI-enabled workflows, using UiPath as the orchestration backbone to ensure AI solutions move from proof-of-value to stable, repeatable production execution. Partner with Generate and Integrate workstreams to ensure automation and AI workflows are operationalized end-to-end.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Influence: Develop strong relationships across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, IT, HR, and other global teams. Serve as a trusted advisor and internal consultant to functional leaders seeking to realize measurable value from AI.
- Governance, Compliance & Responsible AI: Enforce policies and standards for compliant, secure, and ethical AI usage. Partner with Legal, InfoSec, and IT on AI governance, risk management, user guidelines, and safe enablement.
- Communication & Enablement: Create clear, engaging communications that build understanding and excitement around AI capabilities. Develop and deliver training, playbooks, onboarding materials, and success stories tailored to business roles and regions.
