Skilled Labourer

Comserv is looking to recruit a Labourer to work as part of our 2-man teams. Our labourers work with our Groundworks, Drainage, Roofing & Rubbish collection teams, as well as assisting with non-licensed asbestos removal following strict company and legal processes to remove materials containing asbestos from domestic properties.

The ideal candidate must hold a full UK driving licence for at least 2 years and be able to drive a larger panel van.

This role involves all aspects of labouring work, including manual handling, digging, and working at height from scaffolds, towers, ladders, etc., up to four floors. Candidates must also be willing to work in sealed rooms or locations wearing the correct personal protective equipment (PPE) when undertaking non-licensed asbestos removal. The PPE required includes:

• SR100 / SR900 Mask Respirator (facial hair must be shaved)
• Protective suit
• Gloves
• Goggles
• Steel toe capped boots

The ideal candidate will be able to:

• Follow correct processes, requiring good reading and writing skills to understand method statements and complete job records
• Have previous experience working within social housing contracts or undertaking domestic repairs, ideally including non-licensed asbestos material removal
• Work collaboratively with other trades on preparation works
• Work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
