Location: Suffolk/Norfolk (IP22) - Commutable from Thetford, Eye, Diss, Norwich, Bungay, Beccles, Stowmarket, Long Stratton

Shifts:

  • Monday-Friday 2pm-10:30pm - £47,000
  • Monday-Friday 9:30pm-6am - £54,000

Our client is a leading industrial food manufacturer, part of a multi‑billion‑pound global group, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry‑leading standards. Due to engineering departmental growth, they are looking for 2 experienced electrically biased engineers to work on either permanent late or permanent night shifts.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all reactive and scheduled maintenance on industrial processing & production machinery
  • Electrical & mechanical fault finding and repairs
  • Control panels – fault finding, testing & inspections
  • Installation & commissioning of new machinery
  • Site services – boilers, steam, water treatment systems
  • Dealing with motors, star delta, PLCs, gearboxes, inverters, sensors, drives, pneumatics
  • Working at heights and in confined spaces

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Multi‑skilled engineers – both electrically biased
  • At least 10 years of experience working as a maintenance engineer
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong electrical & mechanical fault finding & repair skills
  • Experience on control panels, motors, sensors, inverters, star delta
  • Ideally apprenticeship trained
  • Level 3 qualified or higher electrically
  • 17th or 18th Edition C&G 2391 Electrical Testing & Inspection – advantageous
  • Comfortable working on industrial machinery, in confined spaces and at heights
  • Any welding experience would be great
