A new role has arisen, and the business needs a Senior Leader with excellent process knowledge of Extrusion Manufacturing to play a key role in steering the business through growth and development. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with technical expertise and analytical skills to play a pivotal part with a great manufacturer.

Role Description

  • Develop, optimise, and document extrusion processes to improve quality, efficiency, and waste reduction.
  • Analyse process data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead trials and validation work for new materials, tooling, and equipment.
  • Provide daily technical support, troubleshooting process deviations, equipment issues, and quality concerns.
  • Maintain robust process parameters, SOPs, and compliance with product specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to resolve issues, drive reliability, and support audits.
  • Lead continuous-improvement initiatives, including Lean/Six Sigma projects and operator training.
  • Apply strong engineering knowledge – extrusion principles, rheology, data analysis, and technical documentation – to support production and innovation.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, or Polymer Engineering.
  • Solid understanding of extrusion principles and rheology.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting processes, analysing data, and conducting root-cause investigations.
  • Able to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and material data sheets.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to work effectively across teams.
