Our client is a leading construction industry manufacturer. They have seen incredible growth and want to keep that momentum going by bringing in an Assembly Team Leader. This is a brand new role that will help make sure the assembly team has clear tasks, the support they need, and an extra pair of hands to jump in with the day to day work.
Roles/Responsibilities:
- Lead a hands on assembly team on the shop floor, keeping work flowing and supporting the crew
- Allocate daily tasks, train new starters and keep a team of 5 to 10 running smoothly
- Keep standards high with safety checks, quality checks and clear reporting
- Jump into practical assembly work, including fitting insulation to large metal units
- Drive improvements, update SOPs and help make the workshop run better every day
About You:
- Confident working with numbers, measurements and practical problem solving
- Brings solid manufacturing and assembly experience, ideally with larger components
- Experienced training and supporting teams, especially new and temporary staff
- Physically capable and fully authorised to work in the UK with no sponsorship needed
