We\’re recruiting a Multiskilled Engineer to join a growing manufacturing business working a 4-on/4-off shift pattern. You\’ll support reactive and planned maintenance, diagnose faults, and help improve equipment reliability across the production site. The role suits an engineer with both electrical and mechanical skills who enjoys working with modern automated systems. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative, corrective, and reactive maintenance on equipment and facilities.
  • Support routine and non-routine maintenance tasks as part of a team-based environment.
  • Work on a wide range of mechanical equipment, including but not limited to: Manual Lathes, Milling Machines, Planers, Bar Peelers, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving initiatives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities aimed at reducing downtime and enhancing productivity.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Requirements

  • Qualified and experienced in maintaining machine tools (Manual or CNC).
  • Minimum ONC or NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong hands-on mechanical engineering background.
  • Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Skilled in fitting, machining, and welding.
  • Experience in gearbox disassembly and rebuild.
