Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer β Bedfordshire (SG18). Commutable from Bedford, St. Neots, Stevenage, Royston, Hitchin, Biggleswade, Sandy, Welwyn. Β£52,500 + Overtime + 5% Bonus. 12hr Panama Shift - Days & Nights.

Role & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for reactive & planned maintenance across all areas of engineering - manufacturing, production, site services, infrastructure & plant equipment
- Carry out PPM schedule effectively and efficiently
- Involved with site project work - installations & upgrades to machinery
- Electrical & mechanical fault finding & repairs
- Dealing with high-speed food production, processing & packaging machinery, automation & controls
- PLC - electrical fault finding
- Worked on motors, servo drives, sensors, inverters, pneumatics, gearboxes, pumps, compressors
- Continuous improvements - suggesting new things, sharing ideas
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Have completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship
- Be a multi-skilled engineer - ideally with an electrical bias
- Must have worked in a food / FMCG manufacturing environment that is fast-paced
- Working knowledge of a CMMS system
- Be a team player, want proactive individuals
- Qualified to HNC level
- PLC - electrical fault finding
- Able to fault find both electrically & mechanically
- Comfortable working at heights and in hot conditions sometimes
- Happy working in a time-sensitive busy environment
- Have experience with continuous improvements & lean manufacturing
- Any qualifications in food hygiene, safety etc. beneficial
