Engineering Machinist
Nottingham
£15 per hour + Overtime + Bonus + Benefits
Great opportunity here for a skilled CNC Machinist to join a growing company, based in Nottingham. You will be responsible for programming and operating a range of machinery and also get involved with maintenance and quality inspection.
The Role:
- Measure, mark, and prepare materials for machining.
- Interpret CAD drawings to select and set up machinery.
- Program and operate CNC and manual machines (lathes, mills, grinders, drills, etc.).
- Monitor operations, adjust settings, and ensure product quality.
- Maintain equipment and perform minor repairs.
- Use precision tools (calipers, micrometers, verniers).
- Follow safety procedures and complete assigned workshop tasks.
The Candidate:
- Previous experience as a CNC Machinist.
- Ability to read schematics, manuals and engineering drawings.
- Welding experience – beneficial.
- Experience working on XYZ machines.
