Electrically Biased Shift Technician (Multi Skilled)
Food and Drink Industry
Location: Stockport
Shift: 4-week rotating shift – Monday to Friday – No nights
Salary: £44,000
This is an opportunity to work for a UK leading Drinks manufacturer with a global reputation for producing quality drinks. This role will appeal to candidates passionate about high performance and taking pride in their work.
Role Description
- Carry out departmental duties as instructed by the Engineering Maintenance Manager within agreed time scales.
- Maintain all equipment to standards set by the company.
- Provide electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and process maintenance on production and site assets as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
- Diagnose faults on automated systems using laptops and PLCs to resolve issues.
- Assist in the development of engineering apprentices.
- Carry out PPM and breakdown repairs effectively.
- Promote high standards of workmanship.
- Identify and implement Continuous Improvement activities in collaboration with line production colleagues, creating T-Cards for these activities.
- Record all parts used for maintenance and repairs accurately, booking out against equipment.
- Maintain and improve housekeeping standards.
- Ensure compliance with all risk assessments (COSHH, PUWER, EAWR, LOLER, BS7671) and adhere to all relevant engineering regulations.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in food FMCG or equivalent process industry.
- Electrical qualification, preferably HNC.
- Time-served apprenticeship.
- Must be multi-skilled with strong electrical and mechanical skills.
