Do you want to work for a leading manufacturer, with the job security of being part of a global group, producing a full sustainable product? They are looking for a Weekend Engineering Supervisor to lead a team that carries out all PPM and reliability engineering activities during the weekend shutdown period.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on leading a team of 3 engineers to complete planned maintenance & reliability tasks
  • Work closely with the other engineering supervisor to organise PPM's around production
  • PPM workload allocation, prioritisation of tasks, completion of work orders in SAP
  • Create new PPM plans, monitoring reliability engineering and suggest improvements
  • Still partake in hands-on tasks with the team, electrical & mechanical PPM, CI work and repairs of production & packaging machinery
  • Liaise with the storesperson to report on used spares, parts and forecast what will be needed for future weekend PPM tasks

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Strong PPM & reliability maintenance experience
  • Able to lead from the front, prioritise tasks and organise PPM's schedules effectively
  • Desirable experience as a team leader or working towards
  • Ideally be a multi-skilled engineer
  • Beneficial if completed a time-served apprenticeship
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement & reliability engineering
  • NVQ Level 3 or higher in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Previously have worked in some form of manufacturing environment would be advantageous
  • Ideally have used SAP systems or something similar
  • Comfortable being the most senior person on site over the weekends
