We are recruiting on behalf of a well‑established and growing food manufacturing business supplying high‑quality products to major retailers and foodservice customers. Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager to lead food safety, quality, and compliance across their site. This is a key leadership role, working closely with production, NPD, and customers to maintain the highest technical standards within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with production and NPD teams to enhance product quality.
- Analyse data to drive improvements and implement CAPA plans.
- Maintain QMS that meets BRC and customer standards.
- Achieve and sustain AA+ audit readiness.
- Ensure global legal compliance of all products.
- Deliver cost‑efficient lab testing and effective root cause analysis.
- Ensure compliance with UK/EU legislation and customer codes of practice.
- Manage HACCP plans and conduct risk assessments.
- Develop, maintain, and improve QMS aligned with BRCGS, HACCP, and SALSA standards.
- Lead internal audits and manage third‑party audit readiness.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Expertise in managing BRCGS and retailer audits.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Proven experience in technical/quality management within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of UK/EU food legislation and standards.
