Join a leading design and manufacturer of full turnkey projects for food processing & packaging machinery. Due to further growth within the business, they are looking for an experienced Stores Supervisor to lead the daily stores operation.
Role & Responsibilities of the Stores Supervisor:
- Ensure efficient receipt, storage, control of goods in to support manufacturing.
- Distribution of materials, engineering components, consumables & tooling.
- Support despatch with packing and distribution of goods to customers.
- Supervise & coordinate a small team of stores assistants.
- Stock counts, audits, investigation of errors, checking purchase orders against goods.
- Use of ERP/MRP systems to check stock movements.
- Make sure production kits and materials are prepared and issued timely to manufacturing.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience needed to be the Stores Supervisor:
- Experience within an engineering or manufacturing industry.
- Previously have worked in stores, warehouse, logistics, inventory control type environment.
- Ideally have supervisor / team leader experience.
- Used ERP/MRP systems before, with good IT skills.
- Good understanding of stock control processes and material traceability.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Able to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure.
