Do you want to work for a food manufacturer, part of a larger European group, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards? Due to growth within the site, they are looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to coordinate everything related to food safety, quality & hygiene standards.
Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Lead a team of Quality Assurance & Hygiene Technicians
- Ensure company HACCP plans are up-to-date
- Coordinate all elements of food safety, quality, hygiene & legality processes
- Make sure food safety & quality checks are completed from schedules
- Raw materials and finished product testing programme is maintained
- Internal audits, monitor KPIs and team compliance
- Make sure pest control & hygiene schedules are followed
- Investigate non-conformances & complaints received and implement corrective actions
Knowledge, skills & experience needed to be a Quality Assurance Manager
- At least 5 years experience in a similar quality leader or manager position
- Internal audit experience
- Ideally degree qualified in science / food safety related subjects
- Must have worked in food manufacturing previously
- Knowledge of pest control, HACCP to BRCGS standards
- Good people management, organisational & prioritisation skills
- Experienced in reporting, dealing with data and use of QMS
- Proactive and able to think on own initiative
