Our client is a leading manufacturer that is dedicated to producing products whose quality is recognised as second to none. With a strong order book and due to growth into various export markets they are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their Engineering team.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Respond to machine breakdowns with a view to minimising downtime and improving long-term machine reliability.
  • Execution of the Lead/Senior Maintenance Engineer's plan to work preventatively in addition to reactively.
  • Use of appropriate root cause analysis tools & 5S.
  • Actively support a culture of Continuous Improvement, looking at ways to engineer out persistent problems.
  • Carry out routine Planned Preventative Maintenance.
  • Accurately record all maintenance tasks performed on an electronic reporting system.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Formal Engineering Qualification - C&G Level 3, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship trained.
  • Continuous improvement knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of good engineering standards.
  • Experience in Engineering, manufacturing or production environments.
