Material Handler position available in Middlewich, Cheshire. Working hours are Monday to Friday - days, with no nights. The salary is £26,900, rising after 6 months, with overtime available at premium rates. Benefits include pension, life assurance, Medicash, holiday, and ongoing training.
Due to an increase in market share and investment, a global manufacturing company has an exciting opportunity for a Material Handler to join their Supply Chain Team at a growing site that is continually being invested in. This opportunity offers great security and stability in the current economic climate, along with progressive training and development while being supported by a friendly and welcoming team.
Role Description:- Responsible for maintaining standards of housekeeping and hygiene.
- Offload inbound deliveries, checking quantity and quality of incoming supplies against the supplier delivery note.
- Ensure the external storage of polymer is neat and safely stocked.
- Ensure inbound deliveries conform to business requirements, reporting any contamination, damages, or unsafe loads to the inventory controller(s).
- Ensure correct storage of pallets and effective pallet distribution.
- Assist the inventory controller with stock rotation.
- Load and unload machine parts for the maintenance department as required.
- Pick stock and assemble loads in the designated load area.
- Identifies opportunities to improve operational performance.
- Adheres at all times to safe operating procedures, ensuring the area of responsibility remains hazard-free as far as is reasonably practicable.
- Dependability - Takes personal ownership of all aspects of the job role.
- Delivers on KPIs and objectives.
