Company Overview: A specialist engineering design company in the Warwick area is seeking a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to support projects across multiple sectors. Our client is known for solving complex mechanical problems and delivering high-level solutions for globally recognised manufacturers.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Working independently or within client engineering teams on project-based design activities
- Delivering design, CAD modelling, FEA
- Project management - driving technical strategy and delivery
- Producing high-quality documentation, drawings, reports, and presentations
- Liaising with customers and suppliers throughout project delivery and ongoing support
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Qualified to at least degree level (2:1 or above), preferably a Master's or second degree
- Very good A levels in Maths, Physics and ideally Further Maths and another subject e.g. chemistry
- Understanding of first principles calculations to preface, back up & reinforce simulation results (hand calculations, Excel, Matlab)
- Ideally extra-curricular experience of engineering in some form, whether as a hobby or work experience or otherwise
- Mechanical design, CAD and simulation proficiency
