We're looking for an experienced IT Services Manager to take ownership of IT across a busy, multi-user environment. This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for keeping systems running day to day, while also shaping the longer-term direction of technology. You'll be leading a small team, managing infrastructure and suppliers, and working closely with senior stakeholders to make sure systems are secure, reliable, and fit for purpose.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading and managing the IT support function, including line management and development of staff
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of networks, servers, devices and cloud systems
- Managing Microsoft 365, including user accounts, security and service configuration
- Monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring systems remain stable and secure
- Taking ownership of cyber security, backups and disaster recovery planning
- Acting as the main point of contact for third-party suppliers and service providers
- Managing ICT budgets, procurement, and contracts
- Supporting and delivering IT projects from planning through to implementation
- Working with senior stakeholders to develop a clear, forward-looking IT strategy
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within the education sector
- Strong technical background across networks, servers and cloud platforms
- Solid experience with Microsoft 365 and associated technologies
- Good understanding of cyber security and data protection
- Experience managing suppliers, budgets and projects
- Confident leading a team and working with non-technical stakeholders
- Organised, proactive and able to prioritise effectively
