Our Client: Our client is an ISO9001 certified Precision Engineering firm, manufacturing highly specialised component parts for an impressively wide-reaching customer base. They are looking for a skilled CNC Setter and Operator (Turning) to join their proficient and exceptionally welcoming engineering team.
Responsibilities:
- Setting and operating CNC Lathes: Sliding and Fixed Heads
- Reading, interpreting and applying technical drawings
- Ensuring the changing of tooling parts (tips, drills, tools, and inserts)
- Applying measurement tools to ensure exacting standards
- Accurate and timely recording of measurement and production data
- Strict adherence to Health and Safety standards
- Ensuring CPD by participating in all mandatory in-house and external training
Skills required:
- Solid experience setting and operating CNC Sliding Head / Fixed Head machines
- Experience using Citizen machinery is highly desirable
- Experience with FANUC controls and working to tight tolerances
- Ability to work both independently, as well as part of a close-knit team
