CNC Programmer, Setter and Operator (Fixed Head Lathes) Dudley, West Midlands £17.50 to £19.50+ per hour (DOE) + O.T. PM shifts: 4x Days per week - Monday to Thursday.
Our client is a manufacturer of fasteners, producing component parts of outstanding precision and durability to withstand exceptional pressure and extreme external conditions. They are seeking talented CNC Programmers and Setters for Fixed Head Lathes to join their skilled workforce. Key Responsibilities- Programming, setting and operating of Fixed Head CNC lathes
- Working from technical drawings and specifications with minimum supervision
- Upholding exceptionally high standards of quality control and assurance
- Maintaining an appreciation for manufacturing best practices, working with efficiency and economy, ensuring cost and waste is minimised
- Maintaining a clean, functional and safe workspace
- Being vigilant to Health and Safety practices and protocols
- Ensuring any issues are escalated to supervision or above without delay
- Upholding the standards and ethos of a welcoming, inclusive and supportive team environment
- The ability to build CNC programmes from scratch OR the ability to edit/modify existing programmes
- Experience setting and operating Fixed Head CNC Lathes
- Able to work to exceptionally tight tolerances
- The ability to read and apply highly technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent knowledge of FANUC controls
- Proficient in precision measuring instruments and devices
- Knowledge of ISO9001 (desirable)
