Location: Edinburgh

In this position, you will be based in the Edinburgh office for a minimum of three days a week, with the flexibility to work from home for some of your working week. Find out more about our flexible work culture at computershare.com/flex.

Computershare are currently looking to recruit a Senior Solution Architect to join our Issuer Services team within Computershare Technology Services. This is a hybrid position primarily based in the heart of Edinburgh with our office located in St. Andrew Square.

A role you will love

As our Senior Solution Architect, you will be responsible for solution design and architecture delivery providing architectural direction to teams and implementing architectural strategy. Within this role, the focus will be on designing secure, scalable integration solutions that align with business goals and enterprise standards.

Some key responsibilities:

  • Work to support wider organisational objectives beyond your immediate goals.
  • Lead the communication of complicated, complex or risky architecture topics with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Take action to solve or mitigate problems by influencing colleagues across the organisation.
  • Make decisions characterised by medium levels of risk and complexity and recommend decisions as risk and complexity increase.
  • Define and challenge strategies, patterns, standards, policies, roadmaps and vision statements.
  • Design systems characterised by medium levels of risk, impact, and business or technical complexity.

What will you bring to the role?

As you have probably gathered by now, we are looking for somebody with a real passion for Architecture & Technology and will have the ability to provide excellent architectural direction to our teams. With this role being a key part of our Architecture team, you will be experienced in managing and building excellent stakeholder relationships with people at all levels.

Other key skills required for the role include:

  • Significant experience in a Solution Architect role.
  • Expert experience in API-based design and implementation of a diverse range of API driven solutions.
  • Demonstrable experience in designing and implementation within public Cloud (IAAS, PAAS or SAAS based services) as well as integration to on-premise applications and services.
  • Experience in working with global vendors.
  • Demonstrable experience of creating and owning current, transitional and target state architectures.
