This position sits in the Plans Portfolio Delivery team, supporting the delivery of technology change across global Plans development teams. The Junior IT Project Manager will support the delivery of projects, smaller initiatives and work packages, building project management capability through close collaboration with senior Project Managers, delivery teams, business stakeholders and technology colleagues. This role will help ensure delivery is well structured, transparent and aligned to agreed scope, quality, cost and time constraints. This includes supporting project planning, tracking actions, risks, issues and dependencies, maintaining delivery reporting and governance artefacts, and escalating blockers clearly and early where support is required. Working in an Agile software delivery environment, the Junior IT Project Manager will support team management, planning, process management, scheduling, reporting and delivery coordination across multiple Plans development teams. The role provides progression through practical exposure to project governance, Agile delivery, stakeholder management, financial tracking, release planning and portfolio reporting. Support the delivery of projects, smaller initiatives and work packages within the Plans Portfolio Delivery team, working to agreed scope, quality, cost and time constraints. Maintain clear project plans, schedules and delivery artefacts, ensuring key milestones, actions, risks, issues, dependencies and decisions are captured and kept up to date. Track risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies, escalating blockers early and clearly where support or decisions are required. Build effective working relationships with delivery teams, senior Project Managers, business stakeholders and technology colleagues to support transparent and collaborative delivery. Support the scheduling, preparation and running of project meetings, workshops and planning sessions, ensuring actions and decisions are recorded and followed up. Produce timely and accurate project progress updates, helping to provide clear visibility of delivery status, risks, issues and next steps for stakeholders. Support problem solving by helping teams understand issues, identify root causes and agree practical actions to move delivery forward. Support formal project closure activities, including closure reporting, lessons learned sessions and handover of any outstanding actions where required. As Junior IT Project Manager, you will be able to build productive working relationships with individuals from technical and non-technical backgrounds. You will be an engaging collaborator, active listener, it's important that you have good communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing. You will have a basic understanding of the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle and Agile ways of working. With a developing understanding of project planning, delivery tracking, RAID management, governance reporting and stakeholder communication. Knowing how to identify and clarify issues, risks and blockers, and working with others to understand root causes/next steps. Basic understanding of project delivery and Agile ways of working.
