Location: Edinburgh, Hybrid.

A role you will love
As an NOC Infrastructure Support Technician, your role will be part of Computershare’s 24×7 Global Network Operation Centre. You will be providing 1st line support across all infrastructure technology stacks, diagnosing and resolving infrastructure issues, maintaining the health and performance of our server, storage and network infrastructure by collaborating with our IT engineering teams to enhance the overall performance of our technology platforms, such as Citrix and Nutanix.
Your role will involve proactive monitoring, Triage and resolution of all infrastructure technology stacks, including network, server (both physical and virtualised), cloud platforms and databases. You will use a combination of monitoring tools to identify issues, including Solarwinds, Meraki, Alertsite and Zscaler amongst others.
Other Key Responsibilities Include
- Provide triage, troubleshooting, and resolution for incidents and service requests.
- Upskilling NOC Analysts on infrastructure technologies and troubleshooting methods
- Escalate complex issues to engineering teams, ensuring detailed documentation of findings and actions.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure system stability and minimize downtime.
- Use monitoring tools and dashboards to proactively detect and respond to potential service disruptions
- The flexibility to work across 24hr shift coverage is required – Shift Pattern negotiable

As an NOC Infrastructure Support Technician, you will diagnose and escalate issues across infrastructure, as well as working to increase the skill levels of the wider NOC.

- Ability to analyse system logs, performance metrics, and alerts to identify potential issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a shift based 24/7 operational support model. The candidate must be flexible to work in rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – able to build relationships and work with stakeholders and partners at all levels; able to influence and challenge effectively; and able to listen and respond to challenges.
- Technical abilities include a subset of: Networking, Storage, Databasing, End-User computing, Cisco, VDI/Citrix VD
