About the Role:
A dynamic technical consultancy is seeking a Senior Automation Test Engineer to join a fast-paced agile delivery team working on live projects within the Central Government sector. This is a hands-on role focused on implementing continuous automated testing within a CI/CD lifecycle.
You'll be part of a collaborative environment that values innovation, flexibility, and continuous learning. The team thrives on solving complex operational challenges with bespoke technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement automated test frameworks across UI & API
- Perform manual and automated testing using open-source tools (e.g., Selenium, Java)
- Apply agile methodologies including TDD, BDD, ATDD
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and support exploratory testing
- Engage in non-functional testing (Security, Performance, Accessibility, OAT)
- Collaborate with QA teams to improve frameworks and processes
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong experience in both manual and automation testing
- Proficient in Selenium and Java
- Comfortable working in agile environments and driving best practices
- Passionate about continuous improvement and emerging technologies
