Overview
A high-visibility contract Scrum Master role supporting a critical migration project within a financial services organisation. The successful candidate will work closely with an experienced team, including shadowing a senior Scrum Master, and will be responsible for managing 2-3 squads. The project is time-sensitive and must be completed by mid-November due to organisational release freezes and holiday schedules.

Location: Leeds (Hybrid – 2 days/week onsite – Non negotiable)
Rate: £450 per day
Contract Length: 6 month initially with a good chance of extension
Start Date: ASAP
Working Arrangements: Hybrid – 2 days onsite in Leeds, rest remote
Role Summary
This role is a backfill for a contractor who has transitioned into a permanent role. The incoming Scrum Master will support a migration project transitioning from an outdated system to a new platform. The project is nearing completion and is under tight deadlines, requiring someone who can quickly onboard, shadow the current lead and take over ceremonies and squad management.
Skills & Experience Needed
Proven experience as a Scrum Master in Agile environments
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and team maturity development
Experience managing 2-3 squads (approx. 9-10 people per squad)
Ability to run ceremonies, manage risks, and provide updates to senior leadership
Experience in highly regulated environments (financial services preferred)
Strong collaboration skills with other Scrum Masters and cross-functional teams
High energy, adaptable personality, and openness to feedback
Ability to shadow and support an existing Scrum Master during onboarding
