An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Red Hat Infrastructure Consultant to deliver secure, resilient, and scalable infrastructure solutions within highly secure environments. The role involves working onsite in London, collaborating closely with customers, project teams, and senior stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into robust infrastructure architectures.
As the lead technical consultant, you will provide expertise across Red Hat technologies, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities include designing and implementing enterprise‑grade solutions, deploying and administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments, and building optimized OpenShift platforms. You will support containerized application platforms, ensure compliance and security, and drive operational efficiencies through automation and standardization.
The role requires hands‑on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) methodologies using tools such as Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and Terraform. You will also design and support large‑scale virtualized environments, working with technologies like VMware vSphere, Red Hat Virtualization (RHEV), and oVirt. Supporting hybrid infrastructure and modern platform architectures is a key aspect.
Effective stakeholder management is essential, including providing technical guidance, managing expectations, and contributing to workshops and governance sessions. Continuous improvement is encouraged, with a focus on emerging technologies and best practices across Linux, OpenShift, DevOps, and cloud‑native platforms.
To be considered, you must hold active SC or UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance and demonstrate extensive experience in Linux system administration (preferably RHEL), Red Hat OpenShift, and enterprise‑scale infrastructure environments. Strong troubleshooting skills, customer‑facing consultancy experience, and proficiency with automation tools are required. Additional expertise in Kubernetes, virtualization, hybrid cloud, and relevant Red Hat certifications is desirable. The ideal candidate is self‑motivated, collaborative, and passionate about technology and continuous learning.
