An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Head of Software within the Mobility sector in the North East. This permanent position focuses on driving advancements in embedded software systems and controls, tailored towards enhancing vehicle performance and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership of a dedicated team specialising in software or controls within the Aerospace/Rail/Automotive sector.
- Oversee the entire software development life-cycle, ensuring adherence to models like v-model.
- Development and optimisation of Matlab/Simulink applications.
Required Skills:
- Embedded Software Systems/Controls: Expertise in managing and innovating embedded system software to meet the rigorous demands of the Mobility industry including Aerospace, Rail or Automotive.
- Leadership: Proven experience in leading a team through complex software development processes effectively.
- Software Development Life-cycle Knowledge: Deep understanding of models such as v-model to ensure structured and successful software deployment.
- Matlab/Simulink Proficiency: Strong skills in utilising these tools for designing and testing control systems.
