We are supporting a major global SAP Digital Transformation programme for a leading organization within the Energy sector.
We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist with strong Palantir Foundry expertise to play a key role in designing, building, and optimizing enterprise-scale data solutions that support transformation across operational, commercial, and corporate functions.
The successful candidate will have a strong background within Energy, Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Utilities, or other highly regulated industrial environments and will be experienced working with large-scale data platforms, cloud technologies, and advanced analytics ecosystems.
This role will be instrumental in integrating and transforming data from SAP and non-SAP systems, enabling data-driven decision-making across a global transformation programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable data science and data engineering solutions within Palantir Foundry.
- Build and optimize enterprise data pipelines to support a global SAP transformation programme.
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT frameworks for ingesting and transforming data from SAP and third-party systems.
- Work closely with SAP functional and technical teams to integrate business-critical data into analytics platforms.
- Design and manage complex data workflows and orchestration processes across cloud environments.
- Develop data models and analytical solutions to support operational, commercial, and strategic business decisions.
- Build reporting and visualization capabilities using Power BI and other business intelligence tools.
- Leverage Databricks and Py Spark for large-scale data processing and advanced analytics.
- Integrate data across AWS, Azure, and Palantir ecosystems.
- Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance standards are adhered to throughout the programme.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, and transformation leaders to define data requirements and use cases.
- Support predictive analytics, machine learning, and operational optimization initiatives where required.
- Contribute to the establishment of enterprise data best practices, standards, and reusable frameworks
- Strong commercial experience as a Data Scientist within complex enterprise environments.
- Proven experience working with Palantir Foundry.
- Extensive experience with Databricks.
- Strong knowledge of Py Spark for large-scale data processing.
- Experience developing and managing ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows.
- Strong SQL development and data modelling expertise.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Experience working within AWS cloud environments.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure services.
- Strong experience developing interactive dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI.
- Experience integrating data from ERP platforms, particularly SAP.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, data governance, and data quality principles.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
