We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join a cutting-edge engineering and technology organisation developing complex, innovative products within a highly collaborative R&D environment. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full product development lifecycle, supporting the definition, development, integration and validation of sophisticated engineering systems. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams spanning software, electronics, mechanical and process engineering, helping to ensure robust system-level solutions are delivered.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage system requirements and architectures.
- Apply systems engineering principles throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support system modelling, simulation, integration, verification and validation activities.
- Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to solve complex technical challenges.
- Contribute to control architecture and system behaviour development.
- Translate stakeholder and technical requirements into practical engineering solutions.
- Support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across engineering teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Systems Engineering within a complex engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of system architecture, requirements management and product development.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience with MBSE, SysML, modelling, simulation or control systems would be advantageous.
- Candidates from aerospace, automotive, advanced manufacturing, semiconductor, defence, energy, scientific instrumentation or other high-technology sectors are encouraged to apply.
Working Pattern
- Location: Burgess Hill, West Sussex
- Hybrid working: Typically 3 days per week on-site and 2 days working from home
- Relocation support may be available for suitable candidates.

- £55,000 - £65,000 basic salary
