We are looking to hire a Bilingual Software Engineer to support development initiatives in Tokyo. The ideal candidate will be technically strong and able to operate effectively in a Japanese-English bilingual environment, working with both local and global stakeholders. This role can be tailored across different seniority levels and technical stacks depending on project needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications aligned with business requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA, and global engineering teams
- Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and code reviews
- Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability of applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the development lifecycle
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders in both Japanese and English
- Contribute to agile development processes and continuous improvement initiatives
Core Requirements
- Professional experience in software development (typically 2+ years depending on seniority)
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, Go)

- Business-level Japanese (JLPT N2-N1 or equivalent) and English proficiency
