The Transformation Project Manager is responsible for delivering one or more projects in partnership with key business stakeholders, with full accountability for planning, execution, and completion according to requirements, deadlines, and budget. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement and transparency throughout the complete project lifecycle to ensure successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies and develop business cases for new project initiatives
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
- Develop comprehensive project plans including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Monitor progress and ensure adherence to schedules and quality standards
- Manage third-party vendor relationships and resources as required
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams to achieve project goals
- Coordinate across internal teams and external partners to ensure effective communication
- Resolve conflicts and maintain productive team environments
- Develop transformation capabilities and best practices within the organization
- Build strategic partnerships with Executive Sponsors and key stakeholders
- Provide regular status updates, risk assessments, and milestone reports
- Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain alignment on project objectives
- Identify potential risks and develop comprehensive mitigation strategies
- Proactively address issues to minimize project impact
- Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and requirements
- Conduct post-project evaluations and document lessons learned
Qualifications and Requirements
- Target Operating Model development and implementation experience
- Previous and relevant Business Transformation experience - this is critical and non-negotiable
- Business Transformation Project Management in the legal or similar professional services industry culture
- Proven track record managing end-to-end projects in complex business environments
- Strong understanding of business change management principles
- Experience with budget management and delivering within financial constraints
- Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies
- Hands-on experience with project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Asana)
- Remote team management experience
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in matrix organizations
- Change management expertise with the ability to drive adoption
- Strong interpersonal skills with persuasive and motivational capabilities
