Our client, a leading financial services organisation, is seeking a talented IT professional to join their Technology team, providing first-class support from their Sunderland office. In this role, you'll be a key member of the IT team, delivering high-quality, responsive support to colleagues across the business. This is a highly visible role where your technical expertise and customer-focused mindset will have a real impact.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing first-line and second-line support across the end-user technology environment
- Supporting inductions, onboarding, and training for new joiners
- Configuring, deploying, and maintaining laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Managing assets and ensuring devices are secure, up to date, and ready for use
- Supporting meetings, webinars, and meeting room technology
- Maintaining documentation, procedures, and knowledge base articles
- Participating in IT drop-in days and an out-of-hours support rota
- Assisting with network testing, patching, cabling, and office IT management
- Learning and supporting innovative technologies as the business evolves
- Occasional travel to other offices (once or twice per month)
Essential experience and skills:
- Proven experience delivering excellent end-user support
- Strong knowledge of Windows device build, support, and troubleshooting
- Entra ID and Active Directory user management
- Intune and mobile device management
- Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Experience supporting Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
- Knowledge of Teams Calling and 8x8 telephony solutions
- Familiarity with web filtering, DLP, antivirus, and SSO technologies
- Strong documentation and knowledge-sharing skills
- A proactive mindset with a genuine drive to learn and succeed
- Zendesk or similar service desk platforms
- Azure administration
- Power BI and Power Platform support
- PowerShell Scripting for centralised management
- Cisco meeting room technology
- Exposure to Microsoft Copilot and AI technologies
