This role is an ideal opportunity for an experienced IT project or programme manager who has a focus on IT transformation/change to join a team responsible for the planning, coordination, and management of complex projects aimed at changing the landscape for the organisation's IT function.
You would be responsible for leading the development of detailed plans on IT transformation initiatives, defining transformation goals, translating transformation strategies, change management strategies, stakeholder engagement/management, identifying & mitigating risk within IT transformation projects, developing & maintaining a risk register, as well as resource management, performance management, and continuous improvement.
Experience required:
- 7+ years of experience in IT project management, programme management, or a related field, with at least 3 years focused on IT transformation or large-scale IT change initiatives.
- Proven track record of successfully leading complex consulting-led IT transformation projects in large organisations.
- Deep understanding of customer IT transformation, including cloud migration, digital transformation, and legacy system modernisation.
- Proficiency in project and programme management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Portfolio Management tools).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to executive leadership.
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, or similar) are highly desirable.
Permanent Hybrid: 1-2 days on-site per week. Office location: Portsmouth. £60,000.
