Senior Consultant – Linux

• Salary: Up to £80,000 (DOE) + £7k Bonus
• Location: London or Portsmouth
• Hybrid: Remote with onsite 2-4 times a month

We’re working with a top-tier Managed Service Provider looking to hire a Senior Linux Consultant to deliver expert-level consultancy across Linux, VMware, and cloud platforms. You'll lead technical solutions, support key infrastructure projects, and contribute to data centre migrations.

Location: London or Portsmouth (with UK-wide client site travel)

Clearance: Must hold or be eligible for SC Clearance

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality technical consultancy to clients across infrastructure projects
• Lead or contribute to small/medium-sized technical engagements
• Design, implement, and support Linux-based solutions (RHEL, Oracle Linux, CentOS)
• Support data centre migrations and hybrid cloud integrations (AWS/Azure)
• Provide guidance to junior consultants and ensure project deliverables are met
• Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements:

• 3–5 years in a technical consultancy role
• Strong Linux/UNIX expertise (RHEL, Oracle Linux, Solaris, HPUX)
• Hands-on experience with VMware, Hypervisors, AWS/Azure
• Solid scripting and automation knowledge
• Data centre migration experience
