Portfolio Manager – Infrastructure | Legal Services | London | Up to £90,000 | 3 days on-site per week
A global law firm client of ours is looking for a Portfolio Manager to lead and deliver a dynamic portfolio of AI and infrastructure initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced portfolio manager to bring their expertise to the forefront as you lead on strategic AI initiative delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the AI & Infrastructure Operations portfolio owner to define objectives and execution strategies.
- Oversee multiple projects and programmes, managing dependencies, risks, and delivery alignment.
- Act as the primary liaison between project managers, technical teams, and governance forums.
- Deliver consistent portfolio-level reporting on performance, risks, and progress to senior leadership.
- Lead portfolio governance, including steering committees and stakeholder communication.
- Support financial and resource planning, including budget and capacity management.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to reduce redundancies and enhance operational excellence.
- Ensure adherence to PMO methodologies and maintain high standards for documentation and metrics.
- Guide and mentor project and programme managers to promote effective delivery.
- PMP or equivalent certification and a Bachelor\’s degree in Engineering, IT, or related field.
- 10+ years in IT project/programme management, with 5+ years in infrastructure or IT operations.
- Proven experience managing infrastructure portfolios (virtualisation, storage, identity & access management).
- Strong skills in portfolio, programme, and project management across strategic and BAU streams.
- Expertise in financial planning, resource management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Deep knowledge of IT service delivery and operational excellence frameworks.
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.
