About the RoleMy client, a leading UK based IT Solutions Consultancy, is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to join their expanding, industry renowned Platform Engineering team. This brand new position is required to help support Platform Services across the organisation\’s constantly growing portfolio of global clients.
Infrastructure Platforms: VMware / Linux / Automation & Containers / Kubernetes
Tools: Zabbix, Grafana, Cribl, Prometheus, Ansible, Terraform, Puppet/Chef, VAST, WEKA
GPU technology: exposure
VMware environments: VCF, SRM, HCX, VCDA, VVF, NSX, etc.
Key Responsibilities
Provide practical, hands‐on support within the Platform Engineering team
Contribute to projects, using your knowledge & previous hands‐on practical experience
Develop and support global platform infrastructure , utilising a wide range of tools and services
Continuously improve platform capabilities through innovation and feedback
Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and operations
Apply infrastructure‐as‐code and configuration management best practices
Deliver customer projects within required timeframes
Essential Experience / Skills
2+ years experience in a similar role
SC Security Clearance: Candidates must be eligible to gain this in‐future
Good hands‐on experience with the technologies listed above
Strong understanding of solution design & deployment
Excellent communication skills, and the ability to clearly describe project elements & consult during projects
