About the Role and Client:
- Create and continuously refine a standardised migration “playbook” for future acquisitions.
- Assess legacy repositories, analyse document structures and metadata, and map them to the enterprise taxonomy.
- Plan and execute large-scale data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities while maintaining full data integrity and compliance.
- Run test migrations, reconciliation checks, and quality assurance cycles.
- Troubleshoot issues in real time and implement rapid fixes with minimal business disruption.
- Collaborate closely with IT, governance, business units, and third-party vendors.
- Produce clear migration guides, user documentation, and communication materials.
- Identify automation opportunities and contribute to long-term process improvement.
Proven hands-on experience leading large document or data migration projects into an enterprise DMS. Strong ability to analyse disparate source systems and accurately map structures, metadata, and retention policies. Comfortable performing data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation at scale. Excellent stakeholder management across technical teams, business users, governance leads, and external partners. Demonstrated skill in creating playbooks, checklists, timelines, and user-facing documentation. A continuous-improvement mindset with ideas on how to streamline and automate future migrations.
