ICT Manager (of Enterprise Applications) is responsible for leading the strategic direction, oversight, and governance of enterprise applications. This includes managing key suppliers, ensuring application performance, stability, and lifecycle planning, and strengthening governance structures to enhance operational efficiency, resilience, and long-term sustainability. The role also involves the integration of new products into the portfolio, following mergers and acquisitions, and driving consistency and adoption of applications across all entities.

  • Maintain an application service catalogue and identify shadow IT risks
  • Develop exit strategies for key applications to ensure robust contingency planning
  • Drive decommissioning of legacy applications to optimise the application landscape
  • Raise and track risks associated with applications to support enterprise risk management
  • Expand and formalise supplier and contract management, covering security & regulatory elements, compliance, service metrics, cost control and supplier effectiveness
  • Foster a strategic, long-term vision for application management aligned to business objectives
  • Report on and develop ICT Governance Metrics and KPIs to demonstrate value and performance
  • Drive monitoring improvements across ICT and Applications through existing tooling, overseeing application performance and stability
  • Represent the best interests of Group entities regarding 3rd party products and systems development
  • Ensure fit-for-purpose application release methodologies and drive adoption of Secure SDLC
  • Capture internal clients' requirements for third-party integration, configuration and implementation of small projects

Experience: A minimum of 5 years in a senior IT applications role, with demonstrable experience leading enterprise application strategy, ideally within a large, fast-paced multi-entity or financial services environment.

Competencies: Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional initiatives, multi-task effectively, influence at all levels, and manage complex vendor relationships.

Technical Skills: Strong understanding of enterprise application ecosystems, system integration practices, software development practices, application lifecycle management, and cloud-based SaaS solutions. Familiarity with monitoring tools, IT governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements is essential. Examples include CRM systems, ITSM, APIs, Databases, Source Control, Data Analysis & Interpretation.

Knowledge & Education: A background in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (Master's degree or relevant certifications such as ITIL, TOGAF, or PMP are advantageous).
