The OpportunityOur client, a prestigious global law firm, is seeking an exceptional Lead Security Architect to join their award-winning Information Security team. This is a rare opportunity to lead security architecture strategy across cutting-edge platforms including M365, AI systems, data platforms, and legal technology at a firm that places security at the heart of everything it does.
Working closely with the Head of Security Architecture and Engineering, you\’ll orchestrate a talented team while collaborating directly with cybersecurity lawyers who advise on hundreds of incidents globally, providing unique insights that few organisations can offer.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership : Develop and maintain comprehensive security architecture strategies across diverse technology platforms
- Platform Security : Lead security architecture for M365, AI, data platforms, legal tech, and knowledge management systems
- Design Assurance : Review and approve security designs for new services, platform upgrades, and major integrations
- Risk Management : Drive identification and remediation of platform-specific security risks while ensuring regulatory compliance (GDPR, SOC2, ISO27001)
- Team Leadership : Mentor and manage a team of security architects and engineers, fostering cross-functional collaboration
- Stakeholder Engagement : Present complex security insights to senior leadership and influence technology investment decisions
- 8+ years in IT/Information Security with a strong focus on security architecture across diverse platforms
- 2+ years of leadership experience managing security architecture teams
- Professional certification (CISSP, CCSP, or SANS GIAC)
- Extensive experience designing secure architectures in cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments
- Global organisation experience
- Audit and compliance expertise
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- Computer Science degree or related field
- Additional certifications (CISA, CISM, CCIE, CRISC, SANS credentials)
