Hybrid Model: Remote (must be available to attend ad-hoc visits to Portsmouth office)

About the Role:

My client, a leading UK based IT Services & Consulting organisation, are seeking an experienced IT Systems Engineer to provide strong hands-on input into the team responsible for supporting various large-scale IT solutions. This includes support for both the client’s customers and their own internal systems, maintaining the infrastructure, servers, storage, and network. They will assist with the day-to-day operations of the solutions, including the underpinning technologies that form the infrastructure.

Candidate Experience:

  • The candidate will act as a senior member of the team, providing Level 3 Support of a wide range of systems including:
  • Multiple OS level exposure (Windows & Linux)
  • General experience & understanding of managing:
  • Server (Dell / Lenovo)
  • Storage (NetApp / IBM / Lenovo)
  • Virtualisation (VMWare / Hyper-V)
  • Backup (Veeam)
  • Experience with Veeam / Zabbix
  • Experience of cloud technologies and solutions (AWS & Azure / M365)
  • Candidate Skills / Role Requirements:

    • Willingness to support a 24/7 support (if required)
    • Desire to learn and expand on current knowledge
    • 2+ years in similar roles
    • Understanding of IT Consultancy Environment
    • Strong customer facing skills / ability to support customers
