About the Role and Client
A leading law and professional services organisation is looking for a Data Steward who will be responsible for analysing data, supporting reporting needs, and maintaining data quality and integrity across systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse operational data to inform strategic decisions and monitor performance metrics
- Design and maintain reports and dashboards through Power BI
- Write and optimise SQL queries to extract and transform data efficiently
- Act as a data steward, maintaining accuracy, consistency, and proper usage of data across teams
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish data needs and pinpoint opportunities for process enhancement
- Oversee data quality standards and drive the resolution of issues across relevant systems
- Support documentation efforts and data governance initiatives
- Strong SQL skills (querying, data manipulation, troubleshooting)
- Proven experience building reports and dashboards using Power BI
- Comprehensive knowledge of data quality principles and governance
- Attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets
- Practical experience with KYC or similar compliance-related systems
- Use of AI tools for data analysis and automated remediation of issues
- Working knowledge of data stewardship or workflow tools
- Professional history within financial services or regulated environments
